 The Paeda people are a very small group and little has been written about them. This is a very special and sacred head rest that was used at the shrine to honor the ancestors. The priest or medicine man, while in a trance state, communicated with the ancestors while resting his head on the back of this very beautiful stylized lion. It is over 100 years old.
